Buy Back Centre Currently Closed to Allow for Upgrade Works

The Buyback Centre is a very popular stop for many customers visiting Kimbriki and we are happy to announce that an upgrade is underway to improve the facility and make it easier for our customers to buy items received from landfill for re-use!

The team have been working hard and have recently completed the new concrete flooring in both the undercover areas to improve weather-proofing and decrease the dust and dirt in this space significantly.

In addition to this, we plan on completing the following upgrades over the next couple of months:

  • Enclosing the eastern (back side) of the dome shed and both ends of the other covered area to protect customers and the stock from the weather.
  • Improving the shelving and racks inside and out to allow better and easier display of items.
  • A fresh coat of paint inside and out of the containers.
  • Asphalting 70% of the outdoor section of the Buy Back Centre to reduce dust generation and make for a more stable walking surface.
  • Improvements to the point of sale area for better weather protection and COVID-safe transactions.
  • Improving the water draining in the area.

We thank you for your understanding and we hope to have the upgrades complete and the Buy Back Centre open to customers in time for Christmas!
