As advised previously in our Statement of 1 March 2024, the NSW Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) notified Kimbriki Environmental Enterprises Pty Ltd (KEE) as license holders that a single fragment of cement sheeting (10mm x 6mm x 2mm) containing bonded asbestos was found in one of a number of mulch samples taken from the site on 15 February 2024.
In cooperation with the EPA further rigorous independent testing of the stockpiles was undertaken and all samples were negative for asbestos. On that basis the NSW Environmental Protection Authority released the stockpiles for use.
