Kimbriki work closely with Australian Native Landscapes (ANL) to develop growing matter/soils and mulch from garden waste that is sent to the resource recovery centre. One of the products they produce is Forest Fines, a mulch that is ideal to mix with kitchen waste etc. to create good quality compost.
ANL and Kimbriki have provided a truckload of free Forest Fines Mulch to Northern Beaches Community Garden groups including delivery, to support the wonderful community composting initiatives that the community gardens run. Sometimes the gardens lack enough carbon material to mix in with the organic waste that is dropped off to their community compost areas to create healthy compost. This is a very generous offer from ANL and Kimbriki in recognition that the Community Gardens promote sustainable principles and help to create social opportunities for local communities.
