Vegetation and Wood Waste Recycling (includes untreated/unpainted raw timber)

Australian Native Landscapes (ANL) operates the vegetation and wood waste recycling area at Kimbriki. The operation receives approximately 100,000 tonnes of vegetation and wood waste per annum from Council collections, self-haul residents and commercial customers.

Once received the material is shredded and stockpiled for up to 6 months before it is screened and used to produce a variety of woodchip mulch and soils.

Since establishment in 1992 the vegetation recycling operation at Kimbriki has diverted over 1 million tonnes from landfill.

Vegetation – non residents and trades.

Vegetation – residents of Northern Beaches or Mosman Council only (see conditions below).

Oversized Vegetation – logs and stumps over 300mm diameter, palm trunks over 125mm diameter.

Residential Vegetation

All households in the Northern Beaches Council or Mosman Council are provided with dedicated vegetation bins collected by Council. The vegetation drop-off at Kimbriki provides residents of these two councils with an occasional disposal option for vegetation less than 300kgs. This includes garden waste like leaves, branches, dead flowers, grass cuttings and other vegetation that can be mulched. No tree stumps, logs, trunks or soil.

Vehicles are entitled to one vegetation drop-off on any given day. If your load is over 300kg you must pay for the portion you are over at the vegetation tonne rate.

Proof of residency is required such as a valid parking permit, drivers licence showing a valid address in the Council area, or Council rates notice. Drop-offs are for cars, station wagons, utes, family vans or trailers.

No trucks or other vehicles of any kind are allowed, trade vehicles are also excluded however arrangements can be put in place to register a trade vehicle for a resident’s own occasional use.
