WE ONLY ACCEPT E-BIKES AND E-SCOOTERS WHEN THE BATTERY CAN BE REMOVED
E-Bike/Scooter Battery Recycling
RECYCLE BATTERIES AND KEEP OUT OF GARBAGE BINS AND LANDFILL
These items can be difficult to recycle due to their complex mix of materials. It’s crucial to never put any batteries, especially lithium-ion batteries, in your kerbside bins (red, yellow, green) or landfill as they contain chemicals that can harm both people and the environment.
- Ensure battery is removed from E-Bike/E-Scooter prior to coming on site.
- Place in special bins located at Mixed Waste Drop Off 5.

Metal Recycling
How to Recycle your Metal at Kimbriki?
We encourage all metal E-Bike and E-Scooter frames to be sorted from loads and not placed in landfill. Even if that metal is surrounded by other materials like plastic, it’s worth recycling if it’s made mostly out of metal.
Special Conditions
The general rule is that a product needs to be at least 80% metal. If the item is less than 80% metal then it is considered Mixed Waste and needs to go to area 5 and Mixed Waste charges apply.
