Kimbriki Environmental Enterprises Pty Ltd (KEE) operates an innovative waste and recycling centre on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. The site receives over 330,000 tonnes of waste annually, with 80% being recycled. KEE is owned by Northern Beaches and Mosman Councils and actively promotes innovative and efficient services that reduce waste to landfill. Four on-site contractors provide supporting waste management services and actively collaborate with KEE staff to support these outcomes.

We are looking for a permanent Centre Attendant who can provide high quality service in a professional, competent manner to all customers of Kimbriki.

Duties include operating a computerised weighbridge with cashless payment handling, sales through our buy back centre, provision of traffic control, load inspections and information to customers at our transfer station, operating a forklift and water truck and other activities as directed. Training, obtaining licences and other professional development can be supplied as required for successful candidates.

Kimbriki is open 7 days, 7am to 5pm. Permanent staff work 70 hours per fortnight, 3 days one week and 4 days the next week, including either Saturday or Sunday.

Essential criteria

• Ability to work as a team member with minimal supervision and work independently when required
• Customer service skills
• Ability to perform manual labouring duties including the recovery of recyclables from landfill
• Ability to operate a basic point of sale system using a touch screen
• Basic computer skills
• Current NSW Drivers Licence

Desirable Criteria

• Traffic Control Licence
• Heavy Rigid Licence

Total earnings $63,300 to $68,500 (includes base salary, site allowance and weekend penalty rate) + bonus + super.
