Boomerang Bags Northern Beaches Kimbriki continues to see growth in volunteer numbers, along with increasing demand for our sewing skills and resources.

We have wrapped up our 2024–2025 sewing projects for Network Heaven, which included making:

  • 550 school bags

  • 250 pencil cases

  • 60 girls’ garments

  • 30 Barbie doll outfits

Along with other resources, these items will soon be shipped directly to schools in the tea plantation regions of Sri Lanka. Network Heaven supports children and families living and working in these extremely remote areas.

COME VISIT BOOMERANG BAGS – KIMBRIKI on Saturday 15th November at the Peninsula Toy Recyclers 50th Birthday Toy Drop Off Day from 9am till 2pm. See the TOY DROP-OFF DAY flyer for all the details.

Boomerang Bags Kimbriki is open for visitors to explore the range of items created to support community groups.

Join our hands-on Workshops throughout the day to learn basic hand-stitching skills, clothing repair and simple sewing techniques.

FUNDRAISER: Bags & other handmade produce on sale!

Our Hub neighbours Peninsular Toy Recyclers continue to bring us exciting transformation projects, which we undertake with utter joy.  So far this year we have revamped more than 20 dolls beds and toys.

The skill, creativity and commitment of our amazing volunteer group ensures the textiles and sewing supplies recovered, redirected from landfill and donated get repurposed and put to great use.
