Introducing, the new, Eco House and Garden Discovery Trail. An interactive, self-guided tour of Kimbriki’s favourite permaculture garden. Whether you’re interested in medicinal plants, bush tucker, or you just love trucks and want to engage in some sandpit play, there is truly something for everyone at the Eco House and Garden.

The Discovery Trail is made up of 20 Eco Stops that provide in depth knowledge on the garden’s key elements. Some of which include the Banana Grove, the Eco House or the Composting Toilets! The trail works using a series of QR codes, one at each stop, which can be scanned using a smart phone camera. You are then taken to a page, bursting with information about the space around you. Unwind as you stroll about the garden. Learn about the different features, including our Native Beehive, water saving Wicking Beds, or the wonders of Worm Farms and Composting. Scan the Community Connect Eco Stop and understand how our Community Seed Library works. You can even purchase some of the edible plants you encounter from the Plant Shop!

The Kimbriki Eco House and Garden is an inspiring place filled with small-scale and large-scale sustainable systems. It was designed and created using knowledge and wisdom that we long to share. We created the Discovery Trail to pass this knowledge on to everyone who visits and inspire those who wish to forge a brighter future for the one’s we love. By engaging with the Discovery Trail, you will learn about the systems on display in the Eco House and Garden and how to apply this knowledge in your own life. At Kimbriki, education is a vital part of our goal of Sustainability.

The Discovery Trail is open everyday that Kimbriki is open, so you can come any time with family, friends, kids, or even by yourself, for a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life.
