A Wicking bed is a garden with a water reservoir at the base. Designed so that the water wicks upwards into the soil, strengthening root gardens are self-watering and use 60-80% less water than conventional watering techniques.

This Wicking Cell Starter Kit is designed to be installed into an existing pot or garden. The water reservoir is built into the base of this starter kit. When selecting a pot, be sure that is has a drainage hole for any excess water that may overflow from the built-in water reservoir when full or drill your own.
