Description

Become a carbon farmer and reduce global methane emissions by composting your food waste at home instead of sending them to landfill.

Made from 100% recycled plastic, this in-ground worm farm works hard to break down your food scraps while also feeding the surrounding garden soil with nutrients and beneficial microbes. Ideal for raised garden beds, it has a locking lid. Designed to be buried deep enough that rodents cannot enter. This system is the most maintenance free system of them all.

Bury just 40cm of the system below the ground, add worms and some soil, then just aerate and feed food scraps regularly, water occasionally and that’s it! Detailed instructions are included.

This worm farm is the perfect size for a household of 1-2 adults. Recycling 1-2kgs of food waste per week – and can handle more with a little bit of attention.  For families with more organic waste, multiple Worm Buffets can be utilised.

Worms not included. 500-1000 compost worms recommended to start. Ask around for friends and family who might have an operational worm farm you can source some worms from. Alternatively, get in touch with local community gardens about potentially sourcing some worms. Or as a last resort you can often buy composting worms off the shelf in hardware or gardening stores.

A healthy worm farm is balanced, doesn’t attract unwanted pests and has no bad smells.
