What happens to the Mattresses dropped at Kimbriki?
At Kimbrik, mattresses are partially recycled on site. Mattresses are loaded into a shredder, and a magnetic mechanism separates the springs from the rest of the mattress ready for recycling. The shredded fabric covers, fibre fill and any latex, or foam fill is removed separately and currently goes to landfill.
