Asbestos-Containing Materials (ACM), brought to Kimbriki for disposal in landfill must meet the following conditions:
- Material must be double-bagged or double-wrapped and sealed in heavy duty builders plastic at least 120UM thick – package limit 20kg.
- Individual packages must be 20kg maximum – enabling you to lift each package from your vehicle and place it in the designated asbestos disposal area. * No pushing is allowed.
- All Asbestos material must be unloaded by hand, no assistance by mechanical equipment or tipping is permitted.
- Customers must unload their own waste
- No friable Asbestos products are accepted. This includes fire doors.

**Loads of less than 100kg or 10 square metres of asbestos waste may be brought to Kimbriki any time during opening hours.

If you have over 100 kilograms or 10 square metres of asbestos waste from your home to dispose of, and plan to transport it yourself, you must use the disposing of household asbestos form to report this movement of asbestos to the EPA within 24 hours after you have delivered the load. You do not need to report the movement before you have actually transported the asbestos waste.

Complete the Form, if you have over 100 kilograms or 10 square metres of asbestos waste to dispose of, and you are a licensed contractor or one is transporting it for you, the contractor must report the movement of asbestos to the EPA via the Integrated Waste Tracking Solution.

Residents of Northern Beaches and Mosman Council can access an occasional disposal option for vegetation loads less than 300kgs. This includes garden waste like leaves, branches, dead flowers, grass cuttings and other vegetation that can be mulched. No tree stumps, logs, trunks or soil.

-Vehicles are entitled to one vegetation drop-off on any given day. If your load is over 300kg you must pay for the portion you are over at the vegetation tonne rate.

-Proof of residency is required such as a valid parking permit, drivers licence showing a valid address in the Council area, or a Council rates notice. Drop-offs are for cars, station wagons, utes, family vans or trailers.

-No trucks or other vehicles of any kind are allowed, trade vehicles are also excluded however arrangements can be put in place to register a trade vehicle for a resident's own occasional use

Vegetation and wood waste recyclingAustralian Native Landscapes (ANL) operates the vegetation and wood waste recycling area at Kimbriki. The operation receives approximately 100,000 tonnes of vegetation and wood waste per annum from Council collections, self-haul residents and commercial customers.
Once received the material is shredded and stockpiled for up to 6 months before it is screened and used to produce a variety of woodchip mulch and soils.
Since establishment in 1992 the vegetation recycling operation at Kimbriki has diverted over 1 million tonnes from landfill.

Generators of VENM are required to provide information about the origin and specification of the material through a certification document.
All loads of VENM being delivered for disposal at Kimbriki must have a NSW EPA VENM certificate prior to disposal.

All loads are subject to inspection by Kimbriki staff.
VENM must not contain any contaminants such as grass, concrete, bricks, broken pipes, building materials, or any other foreign matter. If contaminants are found, mixed waste rates will apply.
